Belkin tries to make life easier for us computer geeks that have more than one computer sitting on their desk (or beside or under) at home. In fact, the Flip is meant for those of us with a laptop and desktop at home and allows you to use one keyboard, video and mouse (hence the acronym KVM) for your desktop and laptop.

KVMs have been around for some time of course but Belkin makes this one cool by calling it the Flip and including an RF remote. The price seems good to me considering I spent over $300 for my last KVM switch six years ago... you know, when the "dot-com" was busting.

Do you know what a Nixie tube is? Me either. And I have a degree in Electrical Engineering! I guess I'm not old school enough. But now thanks to GeekFoolery, I know what it is and that they sell clocks made from this long since discarded technology. Always cool to know that instead of ending up in landfills, obsolete materials and products can be re-used in some way. Thanks Mr. Alex.

I gave up on my voice-activated home automation system a couple years ago as both my blood pressure and volume of my voice would continue to climb but the damn office light wouldn't dim as I commanded.
